Honey Pot

A side pot that accumulates during the year until someone fires a Net 59 or less. It costs $2 per tournament to get in. Usually the pot grows to a thousand big ones until someone “Hits the Zone” and sneaks off with all the cash. If ties occur, the monies will go to the lowest score under 59. If still tied, the post is split between the winners. This pot is completely options and you need not participate, but if you don’t get in your can’t win the cash!

Closest-to-the-Pin

An optional side pot that costs $5 per tournament to enter. The person who hits their ball closest to the hole (on their first shot) will win a portion of that tournament’s Closest-to-the-Pin winnings. Usually there are 3-4 chances per tournament (par 3’s only). You do not have to enter this side pot. Members who do not enter this side pot can still earn points toward the Club Champion or President’s Cup provided that they mark their distance on the cards provided.

Presidents Cup

The Presidents Cup is based on point accumulation throughout the golfing year. You receive 5 points for entering a tournament, 10 points for a 1st place finish, 7 points for 2nd and 5 points for 3rd. Closest-to-the Pin and long drive winners also receive 5 points each. The person with the most points at the end of the year wins the President’s Cup Trophy!

Low-Net Competition

We will track everyone's net scores throughout the year. The golfer who finishes with the overall low net wins the trophy. For example, Joe shoots a net 69 on a par 72 course. His net score would be 3 under par. Next tournament he shoots a net 74 on a par 72 course. His net score for that round is 2 over par. After 2 rounds his accumulated score would be 1 under par. The winner will be determined by the lowest net score at the end of the year. You must play in at least 8 of the 10 tournament rounds during the year to qualify. This actually benefits the higher handicap players. Shoot one great game, and that shoots you right up the charts!
